As the years pass by our lives are transformed by experiences, both good + challenging. Two thousand and fourteen has deepened our love for each other, life, family and friends. It has also challenged our faith, creativity and dreams. It’s been one heck of a journey that we are so incredibly thankful for and… we are joyfully looking forward to what 2015 is going to bring our way!
Before we turn the page on 2014, Brandon and I want to share a few behind-the-scenes “captures”. As a husband and wife team we are extraordinarily blessed to have careers we adore. My father always said “If you have a career doing what you love you will never work a day in your life.” So True So True. Photography has provided us the opportunity to work with some of the most phenomenal couples and we are forever grateful for the trust they have bestowed on us.
Over they years Brandon and I have found it amusing to capture candids of each other behind the scenes (the more ridiculous the better)… it’s always good to be able to laugh at yourself and have some fun.
Look at my pointy nose and smile… seriously I have an arrow for a nose. I like to think it helps me to line up the photo;)
Brandon is the official pack mule on wedding days. If we need it, he has it.
Because having the opportunity to photograph chickens on an engagement shoot literally makes Brandon the happiest man alive. And yes, we do want our own chicken coop.
Obviously I spend to much time alone in the office, give me an intern & the crazy comes out. Ashley was an awesome intern this year!
Let’s pretend we are fashion models as we scout the location for todays engagement shoot.
Obviously I have a way with kids, they just warm right up to me.
This is not fair, Brandon had ice cream to work with!
Wait, stop everything, I found bubbles to give you all.
This is when his perfectionist side comes out, I Love it!
Please don’t mind me creeping in on your romantic kiss.
If there is a mirror Brandon will find it and take a selfie.
And he loves taking selfies with the wedding guest and the wedding party. We were asked this year if the “stach” would be coming to the wedding.
Did you say industry friends, drinks and food? We are in… food and drinks will be there right? Great time at The Knot industry party.
Talking with my hands is a must.
We love showing our couples sneak peeks the day of. You can’t beat a first reaction.
Leaving a little note in the office for Brandon… just a reminder that the most important day of the year is in 2 days.
The fact that he can get little ones to smile warms my heart and makes me love him even more.
Another mirror = another selfie.
End of wedding selfie with guest. I’m starting to think Brandon’s bulging eyes and nostrils are this key selfie features.
I call him my Zoolander, he is always ready to pose for my lighting checks.
Yes, we did rock Moonrise Kingdom outfits for Brandon’s brothers fairy-tail wedding. It was a blast!
Oh the beard + stash, it is always styling.
2014 signified our 5 years of marriage and the renewal of our vows. I can truly say I love this man even more today. What a wonderful blessing.
Don’t mind us we just like to hide behind things to take your photos and we also lay down on the job.
This was the year of epic beards and bow ties. Looking awesome guys.
Brandon caught a candid of me editing photos. Peace always surrounds me when editing.
Brandon has the height advantage on our team.
Red beard waiting for his ship to come in.
More wedding day selfies.
And last but not least, a photo of the two of us working together. Can you find Brandon in this photos?
To all our 2014 clients…we Thank You from the bottom of our hearts. We could not do what we love without you. You have changed our lives, inspired our dreams, brought us great joy and unforgettable memories. Your faith in our ability to document your story can only be dimmed by our sincere appreciation. Cheers to 2015!
