Last week I was incredibly stoked because Katie + Tony’s wedding album arrived along with the two parent albums they ordered. I was so excited, like a kid in a candy store, I could not wait to open them! Thankfully, my excitement was contained as I flipped through the album pages. It’s always exciting seeing an album in my hands it’s like opening the golden ticket from Willy Wonka. The finishing touch on a beautiful wedding day.
I invest a lot of time to create clean, modern, and fresh designs…free from clutter, selective coloring, colored backgrounds, and layered imagery. Kate + Tony (and all of our clients) custom select the images in their albums along with the font style on the front cover. We also offer the option of purchasing two matching parent albums, we have found that they make the perfect thank you for the bride and grooms parents.
Featured below is a 10×10 designer wedding album along with two 8×8 matching parent albums. The parent albums are hard cover Coffee Table Books printed on beautiful press printed satin pages and features high quality materials, outstanding color, and fast turnaround times. They are made of superior construction including reinforced stitching for durability and sturdiness.
There is one design element that is different between the parent albums and wedding albums. Our wedding albums start with a full spread on the first page as shown below. The parent albums, however, starts with a single page as shown below. The rest of the spreads are all the same. To ensure a beautiful flow to both the wedding albums and parent albums, we begin the wedding album with a spread of photos that well represents the entire wedding day. This allows us to break that first spread up and use half of it on the first page of the parent album and the second half on the last page of the parent album.
Below you can see that the last page of the parent album is the second half of the first spread of the wedding album.
The spreads in-between are identical.
Happy Tuesday!
