Gorgeous Belmont Abby wedding in NC: Hannah + Stephen
Hannah + Stephen exchanged their vows at Mary Help of Christians Abbey in Belmont North Carolina. Family and friends were all there to witness their Holy Sacrament of Marriage.
The day was beyond perfect as the ladies helped Hannah into her dress at a cute little Air B n B just down the road from the Abby. The bridesmaids had gowns in beautiful spring shades of pale blush, spring green, and celestial blue all a different style to match their personalities…LOVE! Hannah chose a beyond exquisite lace wedding gown with long lace sleeves and an elegant train. A cathedral length veil was the final touch of perfection.
The gentlemen got ready about 3 mins away at another Air B n B. Stephen had is Rosary in hand along with his Liturgia Horarum and Abby Mascot Socks. Fleur de lis cufflinks and a Marian pin adorn his suit.
No Peeking First Prayer with Jesus
After both Hannah + Stephen were ready the opted for a no peeking first prayer at the glass adoration chapel on campus. A precious moment of prayer with Christ before becoming husband and wife.
Bridal Party Photos
Also before their wedding Mass we documented bridal party photos separately while everyones hair and makeup was looking amazing.
The Wedding Mass – Catholic Holy Sacrament of Marriage
Friends and family began to gather at Mary Help of Christians Abbey. The church carried the faint delightful smell of incense and the stained glass windows filled the church with warm natural light. The flower girls were outside the front doors spinning in their dresses filled with excitement for the wedding to begin. A string quartet and 2 opera like singers sang the praise to God as the church filled with love and community. The alter was prepared and Fr. was vested, all was ready for these two souls to become one.
Church Grand Exit with a Horse and Carriage
Following the wedding mass guest gathered outside with bubbles for the Church Grand Exit! Two white horses and a white carriage was waiting to take Hannah and Stephen off to their wedding reception.
Following the carriage ride and before their reception we snuck Hannah + Stephen off for some romantic photos! We were also able to go back into the church with just to two of them for a few photos of them alone with Jesus.
Estate Wedding Reception with White Canopy Tents
The wonderful estate wedding reception took place overlooking a lush green field with majestic grazing horses. Three white canopy tents with glamorous glowing globe lights, white linen and greenery set the mood for the party to begin. Hors d’Oeuvres were served to guest as they arrived and a full stone pizza vintage food truck was preparing all the hand crafted pizza the guest would soon be enjoying. Hannah + Stephen chose to begin the evening with their first dance, followed by toast and then dinner.
After dinner we could not help but head into the lush paster for some photos of Hannah + Stephen with the horses. Hannah just loves these horses. Oh and we cant forget about the 3 donkeys that live there too.
Family + friends danced the night away after dinner and the night was closed with a sparkler grand exit. With the humidity being high that night the smoke from the sparklers stayed low to the ground making for an amazing photo of these two souls kissing!
