There is a beauty in documenting the now… by the time you take your next breath the now is already the past, it goes by literally in the blink of an eye. Therefore, Nicole + Alvin decided to document their now. It has been just about a year since their wedding day and “now” is living in an apartment in Brookhaven over looking all the darling stores, restaurants and Crumble Cookie just below their apartment windows. On Fridays and Saturdays they get to enjoy the best of the city simply by just walking down their stairs.

Some day they will tell their children about their first apartment in the city and how the city life bustled all around them. They will talk about their stroll down the block to enjoy an amazing dinner or crossing the street and taking in a movie. The difference is, they will also have photos to share what their now back then looked like.

As time moves forward not only do we change but so do the cities, cars, roads and shops. There is just such a sentimental feel when you can look back at fond photographic memories of your old neighborhood, remember what the cars looked like and the feel of what it was like to be in that moment. We look back now at our parents old photos and some of the places no longer exist which make those photos even more precious.

As their little downtown got busy we headed up stairs to the private rooftop garden which is only for residents. The sunset over Atlanta was beyond Gorgeous as the sky looked to be dancing with golden lights and purple hues. The perfect end to a wonderful session.
