Apple Orchard Engagement Shoot
It all began at a winter ministry retreat weekend. His friend was running the retreat and so invited him to come along. She was already scheduled to attend. God had plans… big plans. As their eyes met across the room, that soft heart flutter one gets upon seeing their soul mate happened and as the weekend unfolded they found themselves inseparable. Their friends took notice, making sure this was not just a one time meeting, they took it upon themselves to connect these two star crossed lovers.
That weekend turned into several text messages which led to a phone call and then a coffee date. And the one coffee date lended itself to several hours of amazing conversation, warm smiles and delightful laughter. They did coffee for the next few weeks before officially becoming boyfriend + girlfriend. Fast forward to now and Ryan + Heather are engaged looking forward to exchanging their vows this January 2018!
……….
This past Wednesday we headed up to Hillcrest Apple Orchard (per Heather’s beautiful idea LOVELOVELOVE) and documented the love they share. It was GORGEOUS! The way they make each other laugh is so incredible sweet. OH and we included a few shots from the last stop at the petting zoo there – baby goats, baby chicks and a baby lamb… how can that now perfect!
HEHE this shoot was so much fun, it all started off with a tractor ride into the orchard.
Heather + Ryan brought along two blankets, one was made by Heather’s great grandmother and the other by Ryan’s grandmother. So sweet!
And of corse coffee came along, after all that is how it all began.
Besides nothing goes better with apple pie and apple fritters then creamy sweet coffee!
Their parents had these mugs and thought they would be the perfect addition to the shoot and they hold so much truth. “Happiness is being married to your best friend.”
This.. this is what we are talking about, nothing reflects love better then joy.
The orchard was vast and beautiful so we decided to take a stroll to check out the rest of the apples. Along the journey we came across a duck race so of corse we encouraged Heather + Ryan to take a go at it. Heathers duck was victorious. Maybe Ryan let her win, wink wink.
The sweet light!
So much in love.
Baby Goats, Baby Chicks + A Baby Lamb!
As we came to the end of the shoot we saved 15 mins to head over the the petting zoo. I mean who can pass up baby farm animals! So we took a few sweet photos of these two in love surrounded by baby farm animals. Who knows maybe one day they will have a little self sustaining homestead (my dream come true).
