…choosing to love you and I will do it again and again my love.
Today Brandon and I celebrate 10 year of marriage and as I was about to write up some lovey-dovey post Brandon summed it all up perfectly as he shared the anniversary gift I made for him.
And I quote…
“Ten years ago I danced to this song at my wedding with the most beautiful girl I had ever met. Today that woman made this for me. (See the last photo of this post)
Much like the sound waves of Adam Watts’ song “How Does it Feel” there have been peaks, valleys, high and low moments to this melodic life.
We started off with a huge unforgettable note surrounded by our family and friends at the beautiful St. Cecelia Church The adventure of this song has continued through many beautiful notes, rhythms and rhymes.
Michelle we are only at the beginning of our song that we call marriage. Here’s to much more dancing and singing together in this song of life. Happy 10 year anniversary my love.”
I seriously am the luckiest girl in the world to have found this amazing man. Today we will renew our vow in our little church with just the tow of us and the priest. A simple, intimate and deeply meaningful renewal where we will also share new vows we have taken the time to personally write up.
My vows read…
Brandon, you are my warrior, my safe strong hug when I am scared of what
the future holds, a comforting shoulder when I am sad, and when I am anxious the one who prays over me. For the past 10 years you have also been my late night “can you get me this” man, my number-one back + foot rub giver and I know one day I will be your future hearing aid. And for all of this I am so thankful.
I Michelle Horn affirm my love to you, as we share our life together for what I hope is many many more years to come. You are the most generous and joy filled person I have ever known, and I promise always to respect you and love you. With kindness, unselfishness and trust, I vow to work by your side to create a life that will, with God’s grace, lead us to heaven. I choose to love you Brandon Horn again and again each morning as we awake for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health for as long as we both live.
From the moment I first saw you, I knew God had plans for us. And over the
last 10 years those plans have soared beyond my wildest dreams. Your heart, soul and mind inspire me to be the best person I can be. To love as Christ loves. I promise to love you, respect you, honor you, be faithful to you, and share my life with you for as may years as God allows.
Today on our 10 year anniversary I choose you and I will always choose you. I promise to love you without reservation, comfort you in times of distress, encourage you to achieve all of your goals, laugh with you and cry with you, grow with you in mind, spirit, and holiness and always be open and honest with you. I will cherish you for as long as we both walk in this beautiful world God has given us the blessing to be a part of.
Because of you, I laugh, I smile, I dare to dream big and I see the face of God
every day. I love you, your are my best friend. Lets never stop dancing!
