Adam & I
I’m kinda obsessed with the wind, it travels the world on a path set free from constraints and control. It is impossible to predict yet so understated, beautiful and inspiring. It reminds me of creatives… and recently it helped me to creatively connect with Adam & I, a fresh young husband and wife duo from Nashville, TN – Adam & Andrea Melia.
Adam & I spent most of 2014 on their Our House Has Wheels Tour, playing 60 shows throughout the United States. Brandon + I were incredibly blessed this past weekend to have them stay with us plus perform a house concert in our living room for our closest family + friends! They were AMAZING! In a matter of two days the four of us went from strangers to kindred souls in friendship. I always say, “when creatives come together amazing things happen!”.
With Andrea expecting their first child in about 7 weeks (so exciting:) we invited them out for a baby bump shoot before they got on the road. As we headed out to the water location of the shoot the wind began to increase exponentially, it was so magnificent. We walked out onto the old wooded dock and I asked Adam & Andrea to let the wind play with their hair and take it where it wished. They gave me their trust and I waited for the perfect moments to the wind dancing around them framing their face in an impossible to predict yet so understated, beautiful and inspiring way.
Thats when I realized Adam & Andrea plus so many other creatives are just like the wind… impossible to predict yet so understated, beautiful and inspiring. Creatives are given a gift they have no idea what doors this gift will lead to opening. The talent they possess is so beautiful and inspiring and at the same time humility follows close behind, which in my opinion is a magnificent blessing, allowing the talent to be discovered by others.
