Brandon and I strive to have fun with our couples. We value getting to know you and bringing out your personality in our photographs. Every couple is unique with a love story to tell, all are beautiful and captivating. It took time and practice, we have to admit, to get our couples to open up for us in front of our lens. Looking at someone and saying “Ok have fun” does not exactly work. So then, what do we do, right? Well, we play and have fun with you! Brandon and I are not afraid to act out a pose for you with great silliness. We tease each other and that really tends to make our couples die laughing. We also move you into poses so they become yours’. Fluent, natural and fun.Moving our clients into a pose brings about a different outcome every time. We can ask ten couples to walk towards each other, grab hands glance lovingly into each others eyes and this will look different every time. This sounds a little silly, but its supposed to, that’s the point: to allow you to laugh and have fun. When you are on a shoot with us you will quickly learn that we will never judge you. You can be free; free to be playful, silly, loud, quite, gentle, romantic or even the energizer bunny. Whatever floats your boat. We love to laugh, have fun and get to know people as they truly are. Some of our favorite shoots are with clients that have a soft and quite sense of humor.Giving our clients things to do during a shoot brings in the fun and their personality too. As you can see below we asked Katelyn to bring along some glitter and things got extremely fun when she broke it out. Ryan is an incredible spot and loved every second of it too. Love it!In this one Jessica + Charles drew mustaches on their fingers and were trying to act very serious and polite while drinking their coffee with mustaches. This was taken right before Jessica starting cracking up with 10 min of nonstop laughter. One of my all time favorites below, Ally + David laying down with her head on his chest. Obviously we can pose this but to get a genuine natural expression that speaks of love and romance we have to do a bit more then just set up the pose. Here I asked Ally and David to close their eyes and think about escaping to a vast felid filled with warm sunshine no care in the world. All that existed at the moment was the two of them in each others arms.
