Every wedding we shoot there is always a few things that leave a unique impression. At Brandon and Cassidys gorgeous Fall Catholic Wedding at St. Luke’s the Evangelist Catholic Church in Dahlonega Georgia there were several. The day was woven together with faith, tradition, prayer, family, community, excitement and most of all love. Everything from Cassidys off the shoulder princes cut shimmering wedding gown with sweeping train to the terracotta bridesmaid dresses along with bold florals and delightful design touches made for one of the most romantic wedding days of two best friends absolutely perfect.
But first…their faith.
We must start with their faith.
Not just because it was beautiful to witness, but because it transformed the entire day into something sacred. Cassidy and Brandon started off as high school sweethearts and dated all through college. As college drew to and end Brandon knew without a doubt Cassidy was the one. With lots of nervousness and eager anticipation Brandon proposed and obviously she said yes. As they prepared for their beautiful wedding day they invested in each others faith lives, attend Sunday Mass and met with Fr. Matt to prepare for the day their two hearts would become one. As St. Luke’s filled with family and friends you could also picture all the Saints and Angels filling in too, a Holy Hour filled with rejoicing.
Getting Ready Wedding Day
Cassidy slipped into her gorgeous gown with the help of her sister and Brandon’s wonderful mother. Her off the shoulder princess cut gown shimmered from top to bottom with a sweeping train and elegant button up back. And sitting just off to the side was Cassidy + Brandon’s matching leather bound bibles. There perfect reminder of what this day was truly about.
Brandon stepped into his dapper suit with the help of his best man and his father. A black suit with a terracotta bowtie toped off his look.
Once Cassidy was fully ready for her wedding day she chose to do a first look with both her bridesmaids and the groomsmen. Along with a little unexpected first look with Brandon’s father which ended up being so heartfelt.
No Peaking First Touch
Before guest arrived these two amazing souls were able to have a private no peeking first touch. A few moments to prepare for their sacrament of marriage.
We also snuck in a first look of Brandon with his groomsmen!
Catholic Wedding Mass
Guest lined the church, music began to fill the rafters and heavenly prayers opened the day with the breath of freedom, love and eternal joy. The vision of Angels singing and Saints gathering was still present in my mind as Cassidy and Brandon exchanged their vows. Truly a wedding day fit for a King… or better yet the King of Kings.
Gorgeous Wedding Reception
Following their amazing Wedding Mass everyone ventured to Vezelay for a wonderful evening of dinner and dancing overlooking the North Georgia Mountains. Upon arrival the bridal party gather for formals and then we whisked Brandon and Cassidy off for romantic photos.
Romance!
Reception
Dear Cassidy + Brandon,
I am reminded of a prayer by Davis Willis, it seem perfectly fitting. May your marriage always bring glory to God, joy to one another and blessings to your family for many generations to come. May love and laughter fill your hearts and your home for all at the days of your lives. May you face every challenge hand-in-hand and side-by-side knowing that with God’s grace, you’ll conquer all obstacles together. May the world be forever a better place because the two of you fell in love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Much Love + Blessings,
The Horns
