A Catholic wedding is more then just happy ever after, so much more in the most beautiful and profound way possible. It is the total, faithful, fruitful, permeant, deeply spiritual and intentional sacramental vow between two humans with their entire body and souls. One of the most powerful bonds on earth. It is a bond that requires the two people to “die to ones self”. In short, “dying to self” means dying to our own desires and trusting that God has what’s best for us, as our Lord Jesus Christ conveys:
Then Jesus told his disciples, “If any man would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. For what will it profit a man, if he gains the whole world and forfeits his life? Or what shall a man give in return for his life?(Matthew 16:24-26).
Valeria + Brad are now on a journey to put God first before all their personal desires and second to love and honor each other in better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do them part. Their Sacrament of Holy Matrimony at St. Monica Catholic Church in Duluth Georgia will forever be where it all began.

Both Valeria and Brad readied at St. Monica’s in the Grooms Room and the Bridal Suite. When Valeria arrived she found the Bridal Suite embellished with red roses, white lines and added elegance all orchestrated by Brad as a beautiful surprise to start her day. Her mother and 5 bridesmaids, who would soon stand by her side at the Wedding Mass were also present. And just as things began to unfold the flower girl also arrived filled with excitement.
Just before Valera stepped into her gorgeous wedding gown the ladies stepped out and her mother helped her into her gown. The ladies then came in for a first look and to pray for her.

The gentleman were just as excited as they prepared in the Grooms Room. Brad slipped into his suite with the hand of his best man to make sure the bow tie was spot on.
“For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” – Matthew 18:20

Once Valeria was fully prepared her father came in for Father First Look.

Then it was time, guest had arrived and took their seats, the wedding party lined up, Fr. and the alter servers took their place. Incense began to fill the church. Heaven was preparing to come to earth in this beautiful sacrament God himself created.

Right after Mass Valeria + Brad took some time to focus on Jesus and share a kiss at Christ’s feet. We then headed out side for bridal party photos and some sweet romantic photos of the two of them.

While photos took place a violinist played for the guest during cocktail hour. The 5 string violin elegantly played by Ali Sky filled the halls with music and you could feel love dancing with joy. White lines adorn the tables with St. Joseph Lillies as the centerpieces. Valeria brought in clear oval back chairs for guest seating, glass pearl beading chargers and soft beige silk napkins. Every detail had meaning down to the guest favors of chocolate kisses with prayer cards.
“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking beautiful pearls, 46 who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had and bought it. Matthew 13:45-46

After first dances Brad washed Valeria’s feet.
“For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” – Mark 10:45

Then it was time for dinner, toasts and dancing.
