Each year we limit our Sunday weddings to only 4 a year because Sunday is the day we give to God, our day of rest and worship. So why even take 4, right. Over the years God has sent hand picked couples are way and he places it on our hearts to serve them that particular Sunday. We never know why, but before we take the wedding we pray about it for a few days to make sure that is where God wants us to be. From the very start on April 15th when Lauren reached out to us about documenting her beautiful wedding day we knew God had a plan.
As you keep reading know that all God’s plans are beautiful:
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

YONAH MOUNTAIN VINEYARD WEDDING: LAUREN + JOSIAH WEDDING HIGHLIGHT FILM from Horn Photography & Design on Vimeo.
So this past Sunday came and with great honor and joy we documented the vows Lauren + Josiah promised to each other. Standing before the Lord and the vast beautiful mountain range, He created, these two deeply rooted souls became husband + wife. In the distance soft thunder echoed through the mist as the angels in heaven danced and like tears of joy from heaven, a few rain drops fell as their lips met for the first time as one.
It was three days later, this past Wednesday the 16th, when we learned why God asked us to document Lauren + Josiah’s wedding day. As we were scrolling through Instagram we saw it, Josiah in the hospital for a scheduled surgery to remove the tumor on his brain. Our hearts melted and we both teared up as we felt a whisper on our hearts say, “this is why I needed you to serve My beloved son and daughter on their wedding day.”
It all came down to love. To document love, see love, witness love and to give love.
And we are asking all of you to be love for Lauren + Josiah by keeping them in your prayers. Josiah’s surgery went well but they still need prayers that pathology comes back with no more cancer and for a easy + speedy recovery.
We hope and pray that these photos do justice to the great love that took place this past Sunday.
The afternoon started with a bit of bubbly, laughter and fun as Lauren and her bridesmaid popped a bottle of champagne to get thing started!
It was then time for Lauren’s beautiful mother to help Lauren in to her gorgeous dress. And Kelly, her maid of honor helped with the shoes.
Josiah and his groomsmen got ready only steps away across the hall!
Just after Kelly finished slipping on the right shoe she escorted Lauren outside so all the bridesmaids could see her for the first time. As the lace train gently glided around the corner and out to the veranda the sun kissed her shoulders and with a soft voice Lauren told the ladies they could turn around.
The ladies were overjoyed for her. Then it was dad’s turn!
With a strong embrace he hugged his little girl who had become an amazing woman. He was letting her go, letting her go to Josiah. With a deep breath and flutter of excitement in her heart Lauren headed to the back of the vineyard over looking Yohah Mountain and up the grassy road to her man.
Warning you may need tissues!
As Lauren and Josiah can down the sloping vineyard side they were met by their pastor who asked to pray over them before the ceremony.
LOVELOVELOVE!!! Then the party started…
Thank you to all the creatives who helped make this day so gorgeous!
