Dahlonega Georgia Camp Wedding + A Dahlonega Square Reception
They grew up in the same home town and went to the same school during middle and some how didn’t even know each other. As the high school years came fait had them attend rival high schools so they didn’t hang out, they seemed to always be just missing each other. The years past and college rushed in. Freshman year came and went as a flash of new beginnings, awkward new introductions and the start to a whole new world.
However, sophomore year had love written all over it. Taylor came home to visit family and found herself reconnecting with Austin. His charm, gentlemen like maturity and amazing smile was drawing her in, they ended up spending the entire summer together that year. From there on out they have been inseparable.

Taylor and the girls got ready in our little down town of Dahlonega at The Dahlonega Square Hotel. The hotel is filled with so much history, character and charm which made the perfect backdrop.

A Sixpence (Penny) In Her Shoe
The wedding tradition of placing a penny in the bride’s shoe was made popular with a Victorian rhyme – something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue and a sixpence in your shoe. Over the years, the term sixpence has been replaced with the term penny. In this rhyme, the penny was used to ensure the wealth and good fortune of the couple.

Austin + Taylor exchanged vows back to back. Austin was a total gentleman and never peeked.

These two were troopers as we headed out to the waterfall to get some gorgeous wedding photos with God’s creation in the background.
The First Dance
It is tradition in Dahlonega to exit your wedding in a horse drawn carriage and to circle the square three times, so that is how Austin + Taylor ended their beautiful wedding day.
