Bridal Shows provide an awesome opportunity to meet vendors face to face and all in one location so your not driving around for weeks trying to find the perfect fit for your wedding day. You find that vendors are super friendly, ready to answer any of your questions and typically have great set-ups to show off their work. Now I’m not going to lie, the shows get busy!
If you are an OUTGOING person you will love it! There is plenty of food to sample, sweets to try, amazing music playing at the show to keep you dancing and lots of awesome vendors right at your finger tips. It’s fun, exciting and most likely you will run into someone you know.
If you tend to be a bit more INTROVERTED (like I can be at times) you may feel a bit overwhelmed when coming into the show. But not to worry, I have a few tips that may help. Even if your OUTGOING these tips will come in handy.
*Pre-show – Make a list of the vendors you still need for your wedding (this will help you feel less overwhelmed)
*Pre-Show – Check out the Bridal Show website to see the list of vendors that will be there. Feel free to stalk the vendors before the show, thats why there information is there for you. This will also give you a good idea of what vendors are a must see and a good fit for you.
*Make a Day of it…BRUNCH:) Since bridal shows usually happen on Sundays its a great excuse to sleep in, then go for brunch with your girlfriends or your groom or your mom. Have a mimosa and relax then head to the show. Most shows start about 12:00.
*Wear comfy shoes! And bring along a tote bag for give aways.
*Bring with you a sheet of pre-printed address labels. This makes life easy when it comes to giving your info to vendors so they can send you more information or set-up a consultation.
*Bring your checkbook or CC. If you have stalked your vendors and have a good idea pre-show who your MUST SEES are its a good idea to have your checkbook or CC. The reason why, is because a lot of vendors offer unbelievable show specials you can only get that day, so its good to be ready.
*Take a DEEP BREATH and stay positive. I say that because I know if your introverted or extroverted wedding planning can be overwhelming. But in the end, its all about the love you both share, keep that thought in the forefront and the show be beautiful and fun.
I hope this helps!
