I remember trying to plan our wedding with Brandon, we had no idea where to begin or what even went into planning a wedding. We knew we needed a few basic things, the church, our rings, my dress, his tux, a reception location, food and of corse photography to capture our entire day. The rest was lingering in the great abyss and we had no clue where to start.
One of the things that helped us the most was knowing how much time it took to photograph each aspect of our wedding day leading up to the reception.
Based on our years as wedding photographers, we feel confident estimating how much time we’ll need for aspects of the day, but to ensure we’re on the same page, here’s a breakdown of what we’ll need to document everything perfectly:
30 minutes – Stylized Photos of Bridal Details (wedding dress, shoes, jewelry, florals, invitations etc.)
30 minutes – Bride/Groom Prep (I’ll be with the bride, Brandon will be with the groom)
10 minutes – First Look
30 minutes – Bride + Groom Photos Following First Look
20 minutes – Bridal Party Photos
15 minutes – Immediate Family Photos (before the ceremony)
30 minutes – Ceremony + Reception Decor Photos
Ceremony
30 minutes – Large Family Photos
Reception
I hope this helps get you started:) Happy Wedding Planning!
