100% chance of rain was called for….until the rain clouds got word that it was Katelin + Taylor’s Hiawassee River wedding day. So by grace, the rain clouds disappeared and the sun’s golden glow kissed the earth.
This Hiawassee River day began with Katelin’s mom + sister helping her into her gorgeous butterfly lace wedding dress. Her grandmother’s handkerchief adorn with memories of the past was the something old while her blue heals took care of the something blue. As the light morning rain gave way to the sun, rain drops glistened on the purple flowers just outside her window. It was the day her dreams were made.
Taylor’s time to shine
Taylor was getting ready with his best man, groomsmen and his pup, Waylon. Taylor too was beginning to notice the clouds parting and the sun shining through.
Dad’s First Look
As Katelin’s shoes went on excitement filled the air. It was also time for Dad’s first look!
Katelin + Taylors’s no peaking first touch!
A whiskey pouring unity ceremony added a very personal touch to Katelin + Taylor’s ceremony. It is said that whiskey is the best drink to symbolize eternal love. Why? Because whiskey lasts longer than beer or other spirits– and it only gets better with age.
Hand in hand they walked out of the church as husband + wife with two hearts joined forever as one and as they ran the bell the party began!
Times of Old
But before heading into the festivities a venture down memory lane was in order. She delicately climbed into the old truck she used to ride in as a little girl with her father. Vivid memories of summer days, the windows all the way down and the wind in her hair flooded in. It was time to move from the safe arms of her father into the loving embrace of her husband.
Congratulations Katelin + Taylor!!
And a big thank you to all the amazing creative who helped make this day so beautiful.
