The Holy Spirit always writes the best love stories… ones of freedom, great adventures and never ending love that prevails.
Her roommate was dating his roommate while he was studying abroad. Upon his return to the states he took an internship in DC. All the while the Holy Spirit had plans.
Back at the Catholic Center Katie’s friends were trying to get her to play flag football. Jokingly she said she would play if they set her up on a date with Ted. But as we all know, when you joke around with friends one must be careful because they make things happen.
Ted agreed with a text message to his brother that said “you owe me!”. And as a good brother, this message was saved on his phone. Well to be honest their entire conversation was saved on his phone of that day. So to both Katie + Ted surprise he included it in his toast. The entire room bust into laughter as it was read aloud. It was pretty clear that surrounded by love, family + friends that Ted had been paid back. Paid back with a beautiful bride who is now his wife.
Katie + Ted exchanged their sacramental vows at St. Peter Chanel in Roswell Georgia this past weekend. The church was full of all their amazing family + friends! Click here to see more.
Katie’s 2 sisters + her 2 closest friends were her bridesmaids and helped her into her gorgeous dress. Once she was ready, dad came in for his first look.
Like wise Ted had his 2 brothers + his 2 closest friends helping him get ready.
Then it was time for their first prayer! Without seeing Katie, Ted stood facing the alter keeping his eyes on Jesus as Katie came up from behind. They exchanged letters and then prayed out loud with each other. Angels must have been dancing in heaven.
And then it was time… time for two deeply authentic souls to become one.
Katie chose to have all her ladies wear a Marian Blue bridesmaid dress. Be still my heart!
We then snuck Katie + Ted off for some romantic photos of just the two of them. It was time to let all that had happened sink in. A time for the two of them to fall even more in love and into each others arms.
Their reception was beyond joy filed with a packed dance floor all evening.
As the evening came to an end everyone lined up outside with bubbles to send these to amazing humans off on their new adventure!
